A couple of years ago this fabulous tape surfaced on Discogs. Usually shipping an item from US here, can be rather expensive and risky. But…as soon as I added the cassette to my shopping cart, I’ve heard that one of my friends had scheduled a business trip to US that very month. So problem solved cheap and safe.
Since you are reading this post, chances are, you’ve already heard of Room Nine. They were a seminal indie/neo-psychedelia band from Seattle that went on to release their only full-length album in 1987 called “Voices…… Of A Summers Day” through-out the indie label C’est La Mort. A year prior to that, they appeared on a compilation called “Doctor Death’s Volume I – Cette Enfant Me Fia Mourir” released by the previously-mentioned label. They’ve also contributed to local (Seattle) compilations such as, “Christmas ’84”, “The Sound of Young Seattle” or “Lowlife – The Seattle Underground Rock Album”.
This tape was recorded in 1985 and features Scott Boggan on bass and vocals, Ron Rudzitis sharing vocal duties and guitar and Shawn Allen on drums.
Tracklist:
Side A: “Holiday”, “Red Dog”(live), “Angels Sing”, “Separation”, ‘”A Train”, “Seas Without A Shore”(live)
I saw them at Lincoln Arts Center around 85…Love Battery is pretty good too.

I have a poster (actually, The original artwork) for a show at Seattle’s Central Tavern. The featured act was The Matinee Idols and Room Nine opened. If you are unfamiliar with The Matinee Idols you should take a listen
